A chronicle (Latin: chronica, from Greek χρονικά chroniká, from χρόνος, chrónos – "time") is a historical account of facts and events arranged in chronological order, as in a time lly, equal weight is given for historically important events and local events, the purpose being the recording of events that occurred, seen from the perspective of the chronicler. The Liber Chronicarum by Hartmann Schedel printed in Nuremberg by Anton Koberger in , or Nuremberg Chronicle as it is generally called, is one of the most important German incunables and the most extensively illustrated book of the 15th century. The text is a universal history of the Christian world from the beginning of times to the early s, written in Latin by the Nuremberg physician.
